1932Summer3 beautiful downy young phalaropes, not oore than a day or two old, were found in Polk County, June 16, due to the strategic na.neuvering of Charles Evans.
1934Summer The only report for this handsome shorebird came from Ha...llson and Hionenz, who found one broken egg lying on the ground at Little Rock Lake on June 7th. They were unable to find young or a nest, although the bird flushed three times from the same place.
1937SummerGeorge Rysgaard and Dr. Risser found a tri­color phalarope's nest at Warren on June 19. It held four eggs.

1999Spring More reports than usual. Reported from 13 south counties including 5/9 Fillmore JSt, plus 7 north counties. All reports were in May except for 4/25 Lac qui Parle mob. Peak count 5/18 Roseau (159 at Warroad) AH, PS. Observers are encouraged to always report numbers and exact locations for this species.
1999Summer Reported in ten western counties plus Meeker, McLeod, Carver. Unusual report 6/12,19 Lake (Crest L.) SW/MS.
1999Fall All north reports: 8/18,28 Traverse CMa, mob, 8/21 Norman GS, 9/25 Wilkin AH. Reported from nine south counties, the latest from Jackson: 9/11–12 CMa, 9/27 mob.
2000Spring More reports than usual but peak counts lower than normal. Reported from 19 south and 14 north counties. Early south 4/22 Lac qui Parle (3) TT, 4/30 Big Stone (56) PC, PS. Early north 4/22 Wilkin CM, 4/30 Otter Tail SDM. WM counted 230 in western Minnesota 5/14–18, including a peak 5/18 Norman (121 at Ada lagoons). Other noteworthy counts 5/13 Yellow Medicine (77 at Miedd L.) RgS, 5/13 Polk (98 at Crookston lagoons) BBe.
2000Summer Reported in nine western counties plus Stearns and Benton; also seen 6/8–9 St. Louis (Embarrass rice paddies) BT, PHS, 6/18 Lake (same spot for third consecutive summer) SGW, MSh. Peak count 7/31 Big Stone (95) KJB.
2000Fall Only two reports north: 8/20 Grant SDM, 8/21 Polk EEF (recent median 9/13). South observations included high counts of 1/8 on 8/4 (KJB) and 102 on 8/8 (SLC, KJB) in Big Stone County. Only reports after August: 9/8 Lac qui Parle BEO, 9/15 Big Stone KJB.
